Perth Radiological Clinic welcomes former Uniradiology branches into its network of clinics

On Thursday 8 July 2010 Perth Radiological Clinic was delighted to officially welcome the former Uniradiology branches into its network of suburban and hospital based clinics, bringing the total number of sites to 19 and improving the metropolitan coverage of the network. “This is great news for patients and referring doctors”, said General Manager Mrs Lenka Psar-McCabe, “as these new sites will provide better convenience for local patients and referring doctors, especially when the expansion of services to the new clinics is completed.”

The four new sites, located in Belmont, Gosnells, Morley and Westminster, have recently undergone substantial improvements to their IT systems so that they could be connected to Perth Radiological Clinic’s existing PACS/RIS network.  This means that all images captured in these new sites will be immediately available to the entire network of 60 specialist Radiologists, and of course, like all images taken across our entire Practice, they will be stored in our new secure storage archive for at least the next seven years.

Other benefits to referring doctors include the ability for them to have access online to all their patient’s reports and images via PRC Direct, our unique digital interface for referring doctors.  This allows them to view, print and save their patient’s reports and to view diagnostic images, as well as being able to transfer results to other treating clinicians.
