New imaging department at Joondalup Health Campus

Perth Radiological Clinic is proud to announce the opening of its new imaging department within Joondalup Health Campus. The new department has been built in what was the old emergency department and forms part of the planned redevelopment of the hospital. ‘The new department offers patients in Perth’s Northern Corridor access to the latest cutting edge medical imaging equipment including back to back lowest radiation dose “new generation” CT scanners and a 3T MRI scanner; this is the first configuration of its kind in the state’, said Managing Partner Dr Martin Marshall.

‘Being able to start from scratch, plan and build a new department with brand new equipment has given us the ability to provide the latest modern medical imaging within the hospital itself and simultaneously cater for the outpatients in the community. There will be easier access to the Joondalup Health Campus patients with the department more centrally located and close to the new Emergency Department’, he added.

‘I am looking forward to improving access to patients and clinicians alike as well as ensuring patient safety, comfort and convenience. As the hospital expands, Perth Radiological Clinic will be extremely well positioned to accommodate the medical imaging needs far into the future’ said Dr Marshall.
