Official opening of new imaging department at Joondalup Health Campus

Perth Radiological Clinic officially opened its new radiology department at Joondalup Health Campus last night. The new flagship department boasts side by side cutting edge low radiation dose CT scanners and a new double strength high field 3T MRI scanner, the first of its kind in Perth’s northern suburbs. The department services both hospital inpatients and outpatients and is well placed to serve the needs of the hospital well into the future. A new 7 bed observation area for hospital patients has also been built in the department as well as an ultrasound wing and digital x-ray, fluoroscopy and mammography suites.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Health and Tourism, Dr Kim Hames was on hand to officiate as ribbon cutter.
