Perth Radiological Clinic officially opened its new radiology department at Joondalup Health Campus last night. The new flagship department boasts side by side cutting edge low radiation dose CT scanners and a new double strength high field 3T MRI scanner, the first of its kind in Perth’s northern suburbs. The department services both hospital inpatients and outpatients and is well placed to serve the needs of the hospital well into the future. A new 7 bed observation area for hospital patients has also been built in the department as well as an ultrasound wing and digital x-ray, fluoroscopy and mammography suites.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Health and Tourism, Dr Kim Hames was on hand to officiate as ribbon cutter. He is pictured here second on the left with L-R, PRC Chairman Dr Martin Blake, PRC CEO Mrs Lenka Psar-McCabe and Joondalup Health Campus Managing Radiologist Dr Martin Marshall. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Wanneroo, Mrs Tracey Roberts and Attorney General Mr Michael Mischin as well as sitting local state and federal members, Dr Mal Washer, Mr Tony O’Gorman, Mr Paul Miles and Mr Albert Jacob.
