Timely reminder of the importance of coronary calcium scores in assessment of cardiac disease

As it’s heart week this week, Cardiologist Dr Ross Walker, on 6PR yesterday, reminds us that, in his opinion, the best assessment for risk of heart disease is a coronary calcium score. “So all men at 50 and all women at 60 should have a coronary calcium score if you haven’t already had a heart attack” he said.
