Dr Carla Morkel

Dr Carla Morkel joined Perth Radiological Clinic’s team of expert radiologists in 2025.

Dr Morkel graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2002. After her medical training she spent several years working in ED in the UK and Australia. She returned to South Africa to commence radiology training at the University of Cape Town, graduating in 2014, followed by further sub-specialty training in Abdominopelvic imaging at the Foothills Medical Centre, University of Calgary in Canada. Post fellowship training, she moved to New Zealand and worked across both private radiology (Canopy Imaging) and hospital settings. Between 2020-2022 she was the Clinical Director of the Whangarei Hospital radiology department

Carla was awarded her FRANZCR in 2023, and in 2025 she relocated to Western Australia joining Perth Radiological Clinic.
