Routine results can take approximately 2 to 5 working days depending on the examination, however there may be contributing factors that lead to an increase in turnaround time. If your examination is urgent, please let our team know and they will prioritise your report to get to your referring Doctor on time.

Preparation

Depending on the examination you may be required to change from your personal clothing into a gown to ensure a high quality of imaging.

Depending on the examination you may be asked by staff to remove jewellery. Please consider leaving valuable items of jewellery at home if you are concerned about removing them for your examination.

Unless otherwise instructed please take your medication as normal.

We understand at times patients may want the support of a friend/family member and in some scans such as pregnancy ultrasound we do allow support attendance, however depending on the examination, it may not be suitable for others to come into the examination room. They are always welcome in the waiting rooms at our clinics and can easily be reached by staff if required.

Billing

Perth Radiological Clinic is a private practice, and our fees are set to reflect the costs, resources and time required to perform your examination or procedure and provide a detailed specialist report. We bulk bill Pension and Health Card Holders for the vast majority of our services.

We offer bulk billing for a selection of routine Medicare eligible services including most diagnostic X-ray, diagnostic CT, diagnostic Ultrasound, diagnostic MRI appointments and PET appointments. For most other services an out-of-pocket fee is charged. We bulk bill Pension and Health Card Holders for almost all our services.

An out-of-pocket gap fee is the difference between the fee Perth Radiological Clinic charge for our private appointments and the Medicare rebate.

Your out-of-pocket fee will depend on the examination being performed. If you have any questions about the cost of your service, please contact our Customer Support Team. You will be asked to provide a referral so an accurate out-of-pocket estimate can be given.
