Dr Michael McCarthy

Michael is a medical graduate from New South Wales. He completed his specialist medical training in Perth in 1996 but moved back to NSW and completed his nuclear medicine training at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals in 1998. He returned to Perth and accepted a position at Royal Perth Hospital as Nuclear Medicine Physician in 1999 and in 2000 he joined Perth Radiological Clinic. In 2008 he became Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital. He also has a sessional appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital working in PET.
