Dr William Ormiston

MB ChB FRANZCR EBIR

William is a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He graduated from University of Otago Medical School in New Zealand in 2007, and completed his radiology training in New Zealand in 2017. He then completed several fellowships in interventional radiology and cancer imaging, including a Body/Oncology imaging fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, USA, and Interventional Radiology fellowships at Auckland City and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals.  

William holds the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) qualification and has published research in international journals, presented at national and international conferences, and received a research grant. He is experienced in a wide range of interventional oncology and endovascular procedures and has a keen interest in research and quality improvement.  In addition to his clinical work, William is involved in various liver and vascular research projects and presents diagnostic and interventional radiology perspectives at weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
