In 2023, Perth Radiological Clinic (PRC) is celebrating its 75th anniversary as the premier medical imaging provider in Western Australia. Founded in 1948, PRC has grown to become one of the largest and most respected imaging companies in the state, known for its commitment to innovation, excellence, and patient care.

Starting as a team of just nine radiologists and one clinic. PRC has grown significantly over the past 75 years. Today PRC consists of 20 clinics all throughout Perth with 2 new clinics in the pipeline and employs over 100 highly trained radiologists and over 1,000 support team members consisting of clerical, technical and operational professionals.

Over the past 75 years, PRC has been at the forefront of diagnostic imaging technology. In 1978 PRC was the first practice in Western Australia to offer a CT scanner capable of imaging the whole body. In 2002 the first multi slice CT Scanner (16 slice) was introduced to WA by PRC and in 2015 PRC was the first practice to introduce clinical PMSA PET/CT imaging for prostate cancer.

“We are incredibly proud of our 75-year history,” said Dr Gavin Chapeikin, Chairman of Perth Radiological Clinic. “From the beginning, we have been committed to providing the highest quality imaging services to our patients, and our dedication to innovation has kept us at the forefront of our field.”

PRC has also established itself as a leader in patient care. The PRC team are committed to ensuring that every patient receives personalised care, and that their experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

“Our patients are at the centre of everything we do,” said Dr Chapeikin. “We understand that coming in for imaging can be a stressful experience, and we work hard to ensure that our patients feel supported and cared for every step of the way.”

As PRC celebrates its 75th anniversary, we look towards the future with optimism and excitement. PRC continues to invest in the latest imaging technology, and to expand its services to meet the changing needs of the community.

“We are proud to have served the people of Western Australia for 75 years,” said Rebecca Banks, Chief Executive Officer of PRC.  “As we look to the future, we remain committed to providing our patients with the best possible care, and to continuing our legacy of innovation and excellence in medical imaging.”

Today, more than ever, diagnostic imaging is at the forefront of early diagnosis and early treatment of many medical conditions and PRC is proud to play this integral role. We see ourselves as part of a larger team, working closely with referring practitioners, hospitals, patients, and the community, contributing our expertise in radiology and medical imaging to guiding trusted health outcomes for each patient.

Looking forward to the next 75 years and beyond, we aim to continue to provide the highest quality of service and continue to expand our knowledge and services to better support our community.
