Below is a list of requirements for you to follow prior to your procedure. Please read through them carefully.
 | Fast for 2 Hours prior to your appointment. Nothing to eat. You can drink water during this time. Continue to take all your usual medications. |
 | Don’t have any caffeine for 4 hours prior to appointment. It is very important that you do not eat chocolate, take any cough medicine containing caffeine or drink coffee or tea, including decaffeinated drinks or soft drinks containing caffeine. |
 | Don’t smoke for 4 hours prior to appointment Including substitutes such as patches/vapes/nicotine gum. |
 | Don’t strenuously exercise for 4 hours prior to your appointment. |
 | Do bring a list of all medications. For diabetic patients, please bring your diabetic medication with you. |
 | Do bring your reading glasses with you. You will be required to complete some paperwork on arrival, if you require reading glasses please bring them with you |
 | Do bring your Referral, Medicare, Concession and DVA Card and any previous related scans to your appointment. |

 | Please note, you may be in the department for up to 4 hours for this procedure. |
Does any of the following apply to you? If so, please contact us as soon as possible.
- You have a pacemaker.
- You had surgery to your heart, head or ear.
- You have ever had an eye injury caused by a metal object.
- You weigh 200kgs or more.
- The patient is non-english speaking and requires us to arrange an interpreter to be present at the appointment.
