Steroids can potentially reduce the function of the immune system. The risk of a steroid injection in relation to the current COVID-19 outbreak is unknown, but it is possible this injection could put you at increased risk in the current pandemic. We are however opting to use steroid agents that cause less reduction in immune system function than others. Please speak to your doctor if you have any concerns.
Please tell our technical staff if you have any of the following:
- Chronic lung disease
- Heart disease
- Diabetes
- or problems with your immune system at the time of your appointment
Does any of the following apply to you? If so please contact us as soon as possible.
- You are non-English speaking and require us to arrange an interpreter to be present at the appointment.
