Perth Radiological Clinic Training Co-ordinator honoured at national sonographers conference

Congratulations to Perth Radiological Clinic’s Sonography Training Co-ordinator Sue Lundy, who was awarded ‘Educator of the Year’ at the annual Australasian Sonographers Association conference, held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre over the recent long weekend. Sue has been training co-ordinator since 2007. At any given time Sue has about 11-12 trainee sonographers in the PRC training program. The team now consists of over 90 fully trained and trainee sonographers who work across all fields of sonography including obstetric, musculoskeletal, general and renal, and vascular.

Hsieng Foo-Sanderson, PRC’s Ultrasound Manager says “Sue’s approach to coordinating the Ultrasound Training program is calm, structured and methodical. While she sets high attainment standards for her trainees, she is approachable and will always make time to guide and mentor the trainees through some of the more demanding aspects of the training program. She engages well with patients and easily adapts to changes in the working environment. She is meticulous about the quality of her work and her patience and dedication are exemplary.

Sue has an extensive knowledge of obstetric ultrasound and it is not uncommon for our senior sonographers to seek her advice in this area. Her award has been nominated by her peers that show how much respect they have of her.”
Perth Radiological Clinic also provided a booth at the conference for sonographers from all over the world to ask questions or gain more information about a career at Perth Radiological Clinic.
